Jack Kevorkian Wants Michigan to Experiment on Prison Inmates

Lapeer, MI (www.LifeNews.com) -- Michigan legislators, who are considering the reinstatement of capital punishment in the Wolverine state, received a letter from imprisoned assisted suicide advocate Jack Kevorkian, suggesting that death row inmates be used for medical experimentation. In a fax to lawmakers entitled, "An Open Letter to Michigan Legislators," Kevorkian explained his opposition to the death penalty, but suggested that inmates about to die could be useful to scientists, if researchers were allowed to experiment on the convicts before they were executed.

Kevorkian published material on the same theme in 1960, in his booklet, "Medical Research and the Death Penalty."

State Rep. Larry Julian (R-Lennon), sponsor of legislation to lift the state's 158-year-old ban on the death penalty, said he did not expect the suggestion to become part of any legislation. "I think it's ridiculous," Julian said. "I think people have the ability now to donate their bodies to science. But that would be a slippery slope for us." Kevorkian is currently serving 10-25 years for second-degree murder in the 1998 poisoning of Thomas Youk.

Isn't it weird he's against the death penalty? but gives his own to the sick? can we say: possessed?

Hi Amy,

Yes!

And lacking any wisdom.

It will always be one of my biggest gripes about the so called pro-choice that they are so in favor of the death penalty for innocent babies that happen to be inconvenient and yet so opposed to the death of an actual convicted criminal.

Very Wrong and Very Unjust!!

God Bless you always,
David

Those who hate God are losing all ability to reason. [it's so strange to witness, isn't it.]
